Demonstrating the versatility of hemp derived products, a Canadian company, based in Calgary, Alberta, has been contracted to help commission a track that will be used in the Beijing 2022 Olympics. In an effort to replace and reduce plastic fibers with hemp derived fibers the company, Canadian Greenfield Technologies, is proving the many different use case's and benefits this plant can provide. They've developed a new way to grind and separate the different hemp components by using fast high-speed movement as opposed to more traditional "hammering" or "beating" methodsforcing the outcome to be much more efficient and refined. By partnering with three different hemp farms in Alberta, Greenfield Tech. is supplying nearly 120,00 pounds of its NForce-Fiber to the Chinese efforts. The hemp fiber will be used to help build out the tracks being used for bobsled, luge, and skeleton races.
