Hemp hearts may just be the most nutritionally-dense, versatile seed on the planet. One serving of hemp seeds provides 10 gram of protein, 7.5 grams of Omega-6 LA and 3 grams of Omega-3 LA. Additionally, these seeds provide many crucial vitamins and minerals too. Luckily, unlike other supplements that can be frustrating to take (or remember to take), incorporating hemp seeds into your diet is easy as 1-2-3!

You can put hemp seeds on/in your bagel, oatmeal, smoothie, salads, veggie stir fry, curries, and baked goods. The subtle nutty flavor works well in almost any recipe. If you are gluten-free, you can use hemp hearts as a substitute for breadcrumbs to coat tofu, chicken or fish. You can even make hempseed milk by blending it with water, it has a nice sweet, nutty flavor - perfect for adding into smoothies or granola and makes a great substitute for people with nut allergies, you can also dry-toast hempseed hearts on a low heat to amplify the nuttiness.

When you get your Evo Hemp Hemp Hearts, just rip open the packaging, and start experimenting. Just make sure to use the resealable seal and store your hempseed hearts properly. To get the longest shelf life from your hearts, you can store them in your freezer - they won’t freeze and there’s no need to defrost them, you can also store them in the fridge or a cool, dark cupboard. You can find an array of more hemp heart recipes in our other blog posts!
