CBD has been on the rise because of the many amazing health properties and potential benefits it provides us as humans. Many use it to help treat ailments in their beloved pets, too, as our furry friends also have an endocannabinoid system, (which allows for CBD to take effect in the body). However, there can be some confusion when it comes to how much you are supposed to give your furry friend.

Different Factors

There can be many factors that go into determining how much CBD is right for dog or cat. Some of the obvious ones being how big they are, and how much they weigh, and what condition you're trying to help them alleviate, in addition to its severity. Or maybe you're just interested in giving them a chance to get ahead and live their best life!

Different Doses

Regardless of your reasons, we think a safe and general rule of thumb is about 2 - 5 milligrams per 10 pounds of body weight. For instance, let's say that you're using Evo Hemp's 250mg tincture. If you have a small dog or cat you'd probably want to administer around 1/4 of a full dropper daily. If you have a slightly bigger or "medium" size pet, you'd probably want to double that dosage to about 1/2 of a dropper daily. And of course, if you have a large dog who weighs 50+ pounds, for best results you'd likely administer a full dropper worth of CBD daily.

Keep In Mind

Again, just like in humans, dogs and cats will have individual and specific reactions to CBD, so keep an eye on how it seems they are handling their doses and increase or decrease accordingly.
