You love your cup of jo in the morning and we do too! Not only is coffee warm, and comforting, but we all crave that energy jolt to wake us up and get us through a long day.

Did you know that when protein is paired with coffee, an even more powerful energy boost is created?

Coffee is high in antioxidants, can increase your fiber intake, protect you from depression, improve your mental and physical performance, and can help you burn more fat. Hemp protein is also high in antioxidants and is the most bio-available plant protein source meaning our bodies can use it as fuel in an efficient manner! Together, these superfoods work wonders. Coffee, smoothie lovers, and busy folks on-the-go are going to love this shake!

Java-Hemp Protein Shake Recipe: 

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 Coffee Ice Cubes (put strongly brewed coffee into an ice cube tray overnight)
  • 1 Small Frozen Banana 
  • 2 Dates 
  • 4 Tbsp Hemp Protein
  • 1Tbsp Hemp Hearts 
  • 1 cup Hemp Milk
  • 1 tsp Cocoa Powder 

Instructions:

  1. Brew strong coffee the day before and pour into an ice cube tray to have frozen ice cubes in the morning
  2. The next morning put all ingredients into a high power blender, pouring liquids into the blender before dry ingredients. 
  3. Blend shake until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency
  4. Pour shake into a mason jar or your favorite reusable cup and run out to door with your delicious fuel! Don't forget your reusable straw!
